We propose to look at art from the side of life conditions, in which artists function in Poland. This project discloses the relations between the art and reality. The main aim of this exhibition is showing how artists earn, what they do to maintain and survive and what is their motivation to work.

Through the hole of tea can Wojciech Kiełpińki takes photos. This technique is named hole photography. The pictures are made without glass lens.

The exhibition is an overview of historical, social, political and cultural events and occurrences, which were the highlights on "NEWSWEEK" covers. It includes ca. 70 subjects and over 3000 photos from 1933 to 2001. Spectator can see the world and its history from journalist view.

The photos exhibition of Marcello Bertinetti presents fascinating, surprising Egypt visage registered from helicopter board. Delta of Nil, West Desert, rocky Sinai, coral-reefs of Red Sea, Karnak, Luksor, Abu Simbel from the air are completely different from those on the ground.

This exhibition was prepared by editors of National Geographic Polska. It includes photos published in album titled: Egypt from the air.

Marcello Bertinetti (1952) - voyager, photographer, publisher. He co-operated with the most of famous Italian and international magazines and with the biggest photos agencies in the world. In 1984 he established the publishing house White Star. Egypt is the country, which he is enchanted with.

Metaphors of Janusz Kapusta

Janusz Kapusta- world-famous graphic, scenographer, creator of posters and press illustrations. Since 20 years he lives in the USA. He is also the inventor of geometrical figure, which consists of 11 walls. He named it K-Dron, and patented in the USA and Japan.

The exhibition presents a selection of his last works, which have been published within 20 years among others in New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post etc.

Referring to the opinion of Einstein that imagination is more important than knowledge, the artist created his own technique of enlargement the scale of his imagination. It allows him to illustrate and present picturesquely words of politicians on pages of opinionated magazines.

The photos exhibition from BG WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2002 contest, organised by BBC Wildlife Magazin and Museum of Natural History in London. This is the first presentation of this prestigeous contest in Poland.

This performance takes place every year since 1964 and some time later it became the most respected contest in the field of photography of wild nature. Every year this exhibition takes place in more than 30 cities in Great Britain, in dozens countries in Europe, in both Americas, in Africa, Asia and Australia. This year exhibition consists of 90 photos rewarded and prized in a dozen or so categories which are the masterpieces of 75 photographers from 21 countries.

Krzysztof Penderecki, one of the most leading world composers, he celebrates this year the 70 anniversary of his birthday and 50 years of his artistic work. During the concert Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by the composer will perform two compositions of the celebrator: SINFONIETTA, CONCERTO GROSSO and IX SYMPHONY "FROM NEW WORLD" of Antonin Dworzak.

Belgian, Jose van Dam is one of the biggest and most famous bas-baritons. He performed in all biggest opera theatres all over the world. He has in his repertoire the compositions of Bach, Berg, Berlioz, Brahms, Bruckner, Mahler, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Poulenc, Ravel, Schubert, Verdi, Wagner. He performs systematically in Paris Opera, Covent Garden in London, Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scali in Milan, Vienna Opera, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. He co-operated with the most famous conductors. He performed lots of radio, type and TV recordings. Three times he received Grammy prize.

The first part of Jose van Dama recital at Warsaw Great Theatre will consist of Robert Schumann songs cycle DICHTERLIEBE, the second part - arias from Mozart, Bizet and Rossini operas.

"DANTE - JERZY PANEK"

The exhibition collects more than 80 woodcuts of Jerzy Panek inspired by Goodness Comedy of Dante. The Dante cycle consists of suggestive, dramatic faces (because the hell in opinion of the artist is the world of human beings who are humiliated, censured; this is the sad world, full of pain and solitude). This exhibition accompanies three language album of DANTE- JERZY PANEK including 92 reproductions of "hell" cycle graphics

Jerzy Panek (1918-2001) - the master of woodcut belongs to the most famous Polish artists of the second half of XX century. He was graphic, drawer and painter. His woodcuts are: posters, human and animal profiles and fantastic monsters.
