Regular Exhibition
International Collection of Contemporary Art

This collection work was created by 133 artists (among the others: Magdalena Abakanowicz,
Paweł Althamer, Eric Andersen, Janusz Bałdyga, Mirosław Bałka, Wojciech Prażmowski, ,
Mariola Przyjemska, Richard Long, Daniel Spoerri, Lawrence Weiner) and it has
international character. The productions represent different media: painting, sculpture,
drawing, photos, video, multimedia activities, performance. This exhibition has two main
goals: to show the distinguish personalities of the contemporary art and to present the
current position of art. The exhibition is the biggest presentation of the international
contemporary art in Poland. It has the regular character but the works included there will
be successively changed.

Fotografików "Photographic Championship of Poland 2002". There was all-Polish
contest in which participated professionals and fanciers where awards were photographic

The Warhol's exhibition compares performance of artist with the culture of his ancestry
and with greek-catholic religious tradition. It shows Andy Warhol (Andrijko Varchola), as
a creator of icons from the second half of XX century. Besides, works of artists coming
from the collection of Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej im. Andy Warhola w Medzilaborcach, (The
Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art. in Medzilaborce) there will be presented icons from
Mikova area (place where parents of the artist were born), from Svidnika, Bardejova areas
and other cities of east Slovakia from the collection of Muzeum Kultury
Ukraińsko-Łemkowskiej w Svidníku (Museum of Ukraine-Lemkowska Culture in Svidnik).
Artefacts, documents, and photos from legend Factory in New York will be composed of old
photos of factory and routine life of Mikova citizens.

Presentation of three young Slovakia artists which works are inspired by activity of Andy
Warhol. Marko Blazo (1972) uses in his production the objects of daily use and again he
situates them in new, often absurd or humorist contexts. Bohdan Hostinak (1968) practises
classical, oil painting on canvas, he revalues the subjects and styles of the previous
epochs in art's history. Miloš Koptak (1969) inspires himself out-of-date cult of
Hollywood stars, in his works he uses odd photos of film stars.

Concert of Wolfgang Puschnig and band "Fringe"

The concert will be performed by Wolfgang Puschnig, and Joea Zawinula the most important
Austrian jazz musician of international fame as the leader of band "Fringe" .
Wolfgang Puschnig apart from his activity in jazz music field, he co-operates with modern
Austrian composers and with Wiener Symphoniker orchestra. Puschnig works with such
musicians like: Carla Bley, Linda Sharrock, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Mark Feldmann and many
others. In 1998 he was awarded a prize Hansa Kollera as "the musician of year".
He likes to make experiments and discover new ways in music. You can listen to Puschnig on
all famous festivals and all more important concert halls all other the world.
